I'm a Software Engineer based in Dallas, TX with a strong foundation in backend development. I specialize in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and Event-Driven Architecture, and I have also worked with .NET Framework, Visual Basic, Microsoft SQL Server, and GraphQL.
My experience includes modernizing legacy systems, implementing secure webhooks, and deploying scalable applications through CI/CD pipelines. I thrive in collaborative environments, value clean, maintainable code, and enjoy delivering efficient, practical solutions that drive business impact.
Outside of tech, I'm a happy dad to a wonderful daughter, and I've spent the past 20+ years writing, recording, and performing live as a guitarist, forever striving to increase my knowledge, ability, and creativity as a musician.

Official site for metal band Maldevera. Full-stack React + Node/Express app featuring a Stripe-powered merch store with webhook-driven inventory updates and HTML-templated confirmation emails via Resend, real-time group chat via Socket.io, JWT + bcrypt admin auth, and Dockerized deployment.
Walk Tracker
Mobile-first web app for measuring walking routes. Built with vanilla JavaScript (ES modules) and Leaflet on free, keyless OpenStreetMap tiles. Tap the map to trace a route, drag points to fine-tune, and get live distance in miles and kilometers (great-circle/haversine math). Features Nominatim place search, browser geolocation, a glowing-path UI with light/dark theming, and a provider-agnostic map layer designed for an easy swap to Google Maps.
